About

Maddy brings a heartfelt blend of presence, play, and purpose to every child, adolescent, and family she serves. With a Master’s in Social Work from Samford University and a foundation in psychology, her journey into healing began alongside refugee families and children—a formative experience that rooted her work in compassion, cultural humility, and the power of connection.

Maddy has walked alongside children, teens, and families in homes, schools, nonprofits, and private practice settings. From in-home support for at-risk youth to trauma-informed care at an out-patient clinic, she meets clients where they are—emotionally and literally. Maddy offers grounded, relational therapy that helps clients move toward healing with courage.

A passionate advocate of play therapy, Maddy believes play is more than a modality—it’s a language. It’s how children speak their truth, tell their story, and begin to write a new one. Through the lens of Theraplay and trauma-informed interventions, she partners with children and caregivers to strengthen the child-caregiver bond, restore a sense of safety, and awaken each child's inner voice.

Clients often tell Maddy they feel seen—truly seen. That’s no accident. She brings curiosity, respect, and belief in each client’s innate potential, creating a space where healing is possible and growth is celebrated. For Maddy, therapy is not about power—it’s about partnership.

Maddy specializes in trauma work with children, adolescents, and young adults. Her experience spans a wide range of challenges including PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, DMDD, and ODD. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), is actively working toward her Play Therapy credential, and is on the path to becoming a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

When she’s not in the playroom, you can find Maddy grounding herself at the beach, moving through yoga or Pilates, or dancing her heart out at live music shows.

Maddy is available at all locations.
