About

Laura Halloran is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who brings compassion and dedication to her work with children, adolescents, and families. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Child Psychology and Sociology from the University of North Florida in 2016, followed by her Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University in 2020.

Before earning her Master’s, Laura supported children in Jacksonville’s dependency court system, providing guidance and stability during challenging times. She then completed her graduate level internship at The Healing Playroom, where she discovered a passion for helping children heal and grow through play.

Following graduation, Laura worked with children in the Duval County Full-Service Schools program, helping them navigate issues including adjustment, self-esteem, grief and loss, anger management, ADHD, and trauma. Laura returned to The Healing Playroom in 2022, where she developed a passion for helping elementary aged children manage anxiety, build confidence, and find their brave voice.

Laura is currently pursuing her Registered Play Therapist credential, continuing her commitment to specialized care for young clients.
