About

Laura Halloran is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who brings compassion and dedication to her work with children, adolescents, and families. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Child Psychology and Sociology from the University of North Florida in 2016, followed by a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University in 2020. Laura completed her final internship at The Healing Playroom, and is thrilled be now call THP “home”.

Before earning her master’s, Laura supported children in Jacksonville’s dependency system, providing guidance and stability during challenging times. After graduation, she worked with children in the Duval County Public Schools Full-Service Schools program, helping them navigate issues such as adjustment, self-esteem, grief and loss, anger management, and trauma. Her focus on creating a safe, understanding environment has made a meaningful difference in the lives of the children she serves.

Laura is currently pursuing her Registered Play Therapist credential, continuing her commitment to specialized care for young clients.
