How do we help?
Using interactive play therapy techniques, this group includes:
● Games to improve impulse control & focus
● Art & movement activities for emotional expression
● Role-playing &; storytelling for problem-solving
● Sensory play for calming strategies
Group details:
Group 1: June 10th - July 3rd, 2025
Duration: 4 weeks (1 session per week on Tuesdays, 3 hours each. June 10th, 17th, 24th, July 1st.
Time: 9 AM to 12 PM

Cost: $400
Group 2: July 8th - July 31st, 2025
Duration: 4 weeks (1 session per week on Tuesdays, 3 hours each. July 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th.

About the Facilitator
Trishana Sheffield
MS, RMHCI
Certified Play Therapist
Trishana Sheffield specializes in helping children with ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, and behavioral concerns build the skills they need to thrive—at home, in school, and in themselves. With a background in clinical mental health counseling and advanced training in play therapy, she meets children where they are and helps them feel seen, safe, and supported.
Trishana holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus on child development from the University of North Florida and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University, where she also earned a Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy. She is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, practicing under supervision while working toward full licensure and her Registered Play Therapist credential.
Her experience spans early intervention settings and Duval County Public Schools, where she supported children navigating trauma, divorce, developmental hurdles, and emotional or behavioral struggles.
Trishana believes that healing happens when children are given the space to play through what they feel, with a trusted guide by their side.
